This week’s Weekly Photo Challenge from The Daily Post is “Treat.” Perfect since tomorrow is Halloween, don’t you think?
I have been thinking of all of the treats in my life, and I have to say that there are many: good dinners with my family, looking out my kitchen window and seeing one of our chickens running across the yard, singing in the car with the kids. And there are more: Saturdays with nothing planned, fresh sheets, a new T-shirt, and DVR’d episodes of The Big Bang Theory.
You get my point. I believe in being happy and satisfied right where I am, and enjoying God’s little blessings.
One thing that is a real treat for me? Early morning coffee dates with Jesus. 🙂
I love, love, love getting up early (especially during the winter when it is cold and dark and I can wrap up in a blanket on the couch) and having a hot cup of coffee while I read my devotion and pray. It is a time I cherish and look forward to. Sometimes Maddie wakes up early and snuggles up with me on the couch to drink her juice and watch her cartoons.
