The kids and I didn’t have too much to do today so we decided to take a walk. It was really nice and beautiful and peaceful and full of unexpected surprises. I took some pictures with my phone (since of course I didn’t have our gigantic camera with me) and thought they fit nicely with The Daily Post’s weekly photo challenge to take a picture portraying serenity.
It was a gorgeous day today. I love the look of bare winter trees against a bright blue sky. If that isn’t serenity, I don’t know what is.
Maddie picked this flower for me. The pocket of my sweatshirt was full of sticks, rocks, and leaves by the time we got home!
Burning off some of that childhood energy!
Bonlee Grown Farm is at the end of the road. The kids got to pet some brand new baby lambs. I love how the ray of sunshine was caught in this picture. I also love the mama sheep on her way to check on her lamb, and I also love that we got to see Ramy today. I babysat her and her sister when they were Charlie and Maddie’s age, and now they babysit Charlie and Maddie!
There are a couple of chicken feed plants in Bonlee, which are more visible during the winter. While I didn’t immediately care for them, now I like them. They’re just a quiet part of the town.
This was not a serene moment in our otherwise peaceful walk. Maddie almost gave up, until she heard about the baby lambs!
We really enjoyed our walk today. I hope you have had a good Saturday, as well!
On the glorious splendor of your majesty, and on your wondrous works, I will meditate. Psalm 145:5
