#30DaysofThanks

Nov 1, 2014

So, October is over and November has begun with a cold front!  It is so cold and windy here, guys, but I am loving it.

We had so much fun on Halloween.  Here’s Maddie as Elsa and Charlie as a vampire.

We have really dragged out Halloween this year, stringing up spider webs and hanging our singing spider at the end of September.  Our trunk-or-treating and harvest festival at church was a huge success, then we spent the week of Halloween dressing up for different things and eating lots of candy.  We checked out tons of spooky books and read them every day, and Charlie and Maddie watched “It’s the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown!” over and over.

Halloween night, we did a little trick-or-treating at grandparents’ houses, then went to the country club for a Halloween party.  We rode a golf cart through the golf course, trick-or-treating at each hole.  Then we went inside for dinner and some games.  It was really fun, and Charlie woke up this morning crying because Halloween was over.  I consider that a sign of success! 🙂

I explained to Charlie that we have tons coming up to look forward to and celebrate.  We are going to spend November talking about all of our blessings and what we are thankful for.

As part of this, I am participating in #30daysofthanks on Instagram.  Instagram is my absolute favorite form of social media.  I enjoy the creativity involved in taking pictures, so this project is something I am looking forward to.

Every day in November, I will post a picture of something I am thankful for.  If you would like to see what I’m posting, you can follow me on Instagram.
