I had a wonderful day shopping with my friend Wendy. We were supposed to be at the beach on a girl’s weekend, but that kind of fell through so we decided to spend the day doing whatever we wanted to do!
I knew it was going to be a great day when I drove through Starbucks to grab some Pumpkin Spice Lattes. When I pulled out my debit card, the girl at the drive-through window informed me that our lattes had already been paid for! She gave me a few details, but told me that I should check out the hashtag written on my coffee:
I did look up #AJO when I returned home tonight and found out that it is a pay-it-forward movement that has been started by the parents of a young girl named Alyssa who passed away just a couple of weeks ago.
You can go here to read more of her family’s story: http://www.yourerie.com/news/news-article/family-pays-it-forward-following-daughters-death/d/news/news-article/9BgBQalJSECWrtsIooPGhQ.
What a wonderful way to raise awareness and to bring something positive out of something so tragic. Let’s all remember to keep Alyssa’s family in our prayers!

What will you do to pay it forward?
I’m not sure yet! The kids and I have done something before so we may just do that again, but I don’t really like to tell people when we do it.
Isn’t that a cool story?
