I am so excited to be linking up with www.Walkhumblywithgod.wordpress.com today to give some praise to God! This will be an ongoing post every Monday (even though I am sure I will miss one here and there).
You know, Mondays have a really bad rap. The weekend is over and we have to get back to the grind. The alarm clock has to be set and we have to be where other people tell us to be.
I have decided that we need to change our view of Mondays! God is blessing us with another week to go out into the world and shine for him, and we need to sing his praises for this. He didn’t give us the gift of life so we could walk around moaning and groaning all of the time, but so we could spread his word and praise him for it, even when things aren’t going our way!
I grew up in a Pentecostal Holiness church, and we would rock the praise songs every Sunday morning. I am now a Baptist and we stick to the old traditional hymns. I love the old hymns, but the praise songs are one thing that I miss from my other church.
I am going to share with you a song that I grew up singing and I now sing to the kids every morning, with some of my favorite pictures from the past to go along with it.

I love starting out our day with this song, and the kids love singing along. I also sing it when we are having an especially tough time!
