There is never a dull moment in Bonlee, that’s for certain! For those of you who think living in the middle of nowhere is lagging in excitement or learning opportunities, you are dead wrong.
After rushing around all morning trying to get Charlie (who turns 2 on May 20), Maddie (3 months yesterday), and myself ready to visit with Great Grandma Olline, I was in hotflash mode. As we are finally about to load into the car, I look out the back door to see a white and brown horse grazing in our back yard. Of course, Charlie is so excited, but I am a bit unnerved. At one point the horse started to run toward the house, and I ran to grab Charlie off of the back deck, imagining the entire time that the horse was going to storm onto our screened-in porch and trample him. (Just because I live in the country doesn’t mean I know about horses!!)
Needless to say, the trip to Great Grandma’s was cancelled so we could search out the horses owner. We never could find who it belonged to, and eventually someone must have called the fire department to round up the horse.
Too much excitement for me! Nap time….
